The Turtle Trace Race play mats
This collection of play mats is really one of our giant games series.
When laid out on the floor, the game takes up an area of 3.5 meters x 2.3 meters and includes one or two giant dice with which the game may be played at a beginners or advanced level.
There can be as few as two players and as many as six players. The game is designed for 3 to 7 year olds with the advanced version more suited to the older aged children.
Children play by throwing the giant dice and the child to advance in the game, is the one standing on that colored turtle trail. The game is big, the dice is big and the children have “big fun”.
Each turtle’s trail is made up of play mat pieces, 6 in all for each of the six trails.

How to play Turtle Trace Race:
The standard turtle trace race game:
Each of up to six players are positioned at the start point for a colored lane. In turn, the dice is thrown by each participant. The color that comes up on the dice is the player allowed to advance by one square. The winner is the first to reach the finish line.
The advanced turtle trace race game:
Each of up to six players are positioned at the start point for a colored lane. In turn, the dice is thrown by each participant. The color that comes up on the dice is the player given the second “advanced” dice to throw. Dependent on the results of throwing the second dice, the player may be directed to move one or two squares forward, one or two squares back, to stay where they are, or to go back to the start. The winner is the first to gain the correct number of steps to land on the finish line.
